While working as a wilderness guide in youth therapy programs, Jen was given the Indian name “Many Dreams”. Jen believes anything really is possible and that our passions are our gifts. What brings us the greatest joy is our gift to the world and we are meant to share them! Jen has two big passions- Youth and water sports! Jen grew up in a big family who always owned a water ski boat and lived in the Wasatch mountains. Skiing and snowboarding since preschool, she has coached snowboarding for over 13 years and worked at 7 ski resorts.
Jen is the first sponsored SUP athlete in Bend and the first certified SUP Instructor of Bend. Jen brings 22 years of river guiding in multiple States, SUP racing for 8 years, and Outrigger racing for 13 years to the team. In any given day Jen will have one, if not all three paddles in her hand! SUP, Outrigger or a guide stick.
Jen has coached sports since high school from cheerleading to wakeboarding. She is a former wilderness EMT and has been a Personal Trainer for 17 years. She teaches CPR/1st Aid courses and started the first ever youth paddle team in the U.S. that combines mountain and ocean paddle sports!
Jen is an OG of the Bend Paddleboard Union and has created all the local youth SUP races the past 3 years. Right now, raising her kids with her husband, is Jen’s 1st priority! Running her local businesses, volunteering a lot in her community and attending all of her families sporting events, Jen spends most of her time in the paradise we call Bend. Her after-kids game plan is to hit the road on SUP race circuits, snowboard internationally, race Outriggers in the ocean and surf as much as possible!
Jen’s current big goal is to create epic white water SUP races in Oregon, from down river to SUPCross!!! Jen is working with other event directors and water authorities to make these events happen and to grow the sport of white water SUP!! The Bend White Water Park is a true gift and Jen wants to give back in any way she can, starting by training people to safely enjoy our white water park. Paddle for life!!!
